Paris, France; February 17, 2006 - BOONTY announced the strategic partnership with Austria-based technology-leader Sony DADC. The agreement covers the implementation of Sony DADC’s copy control software SecuROM for BOONTY’s distributed video games. The SecuROM solution will be jointly presented by Sony DADC and BOONTY at this year’s E3, the world’s largest electronic and digital entertainment exhibition, in Los Angeles from the 10th to the 12th of May, 2006.

This agreement positions BOONTY as a leader in the market of digital online distribution of video games. The partnership with Sony DADC also secures BOONTY’s position as a world’s leading download platform, ensuring easy and protected consumer access to the biggest catalogue of on-line video games. As of today BOONTY is the first and only digital video games distributor incorporating a multi-DRM strategy with over six security solutions in total.

“Partnering with Sony DADC and incorporating SecuROM is a vital step in unleashing each publisher’s distribution potential, while proposing a totally secure solution that is compatible with their rights management policies. A multi-DRM platform is essential for maximising access to a complete games catalogue for consumers. Users are not restricted because of the publisher’s preferences in terms of technology and BOONTY’s independence is also secured,” Mathieu Nouzareth, president of BOONTY stated.

“We are happy to have found such a strong partner in the online video game distribution,” said Reinhard Blaukovitsch, VP DigitalWorks at Sony DADC. “This partnership with BOONTY allows us to fully adapt our SecuROM solution to the requirements of video games publishers who wish to market their content safely through the Web.” SecuROM product activation is the new online version of the world’s leading on-disc SecuROM copy control solution which is widely trusted by the world’s leading games publishers.

The partnership ensures portals the access to one of the richest game catalogues. BOONTY has selected Sony DADC’s SecuROM which is renowned for its unrivalled protection features, to secure publishers’ games content distributed on its digital distribution platform in the best possible way. Consumers will also profit from the wider variety and attractiveness of available games which are available for easy purchasing and downloading.
